Shoaib Khan, alleged to be the don of Karachi's underworld was remanded to the custody of Investigation Police Zone IV till January 8 by Judicial Magistrate Anwar-ul-Hasan Siddiqui on Saturday. Earlier, Investigation Officer produced the accused amid strict security arrangements and in remand papers stated that accused during interrogation claimed he was the Don of underworld and running a large cartel including vice dens, gambling dens and was also engaged in target killing of opponents and political figures.

A large cache of arms was dumped at a place for those activities, accused was stated to have disclosed before the investigators. A raid was conducted at a house in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kalakot in pursuance to startling disclosures by the accused during which two rocket launchers and four hand grenades were recovered from the place.

The Judicial Magistrate, perusing the remand papers, remanded him to the custody of Investigation Police till January 08.

Another Judicial Magistrate South Rubab Fatima remanded co-accused Muhammad Akram son of Pir Ji Achhan to police custody till January 4, 2005. The accused was arrested during the raid on the pointation of accused Shoaib Khan.
